Yaki Yaki Japanese Buffet

Few weeks ago, a friend of mine told me there's this japanese buffet restaurant in Lowyat which was having a 50% promotion. Very much the likes of jogoya (i think they even copied the idea of the 50% promotion), I told my classmates about it and some of them were very fond of going in the beginning.

But, the plan was called on and off and on and off again, I don't even know what was the final decision only until the last day itself.

Seriously amazing -.-

Photobucket

So here we are, YUCKY YUCKY YAKI-YAKI JAPANESE BBQ BUFFET, located beside Lowyat Plaza, at Federal Arcade. Only 6 of us went this time, 3 guys 3 girls :)

Photobucket

Much to my surprise, there wasn't any long queus or crowd because I thought it was supposed to be the last day of the promotion and labour day's eve, so supposingly there will be more people right? There is no need for us to even reserve or anything. Price per pax for a Hi-tea buffet after tax is only Rm35.75 per person. It's a cheap deal.

Photobucket

Ok la this is like the usual crowd I stick with most of the time so it's no big deal ok. But still, going out with them was never boring :D

*

I don't know what to blog la actually I have lots of pictures here and I just donno what to type. I'm still contemplating on whether to go college tomorrow or not actually sigh whadafark. Just didn't have the mood to blog actually, AS is just next week and I felt like I have tonnes of studies and exercises which were yet to be completed.

Photobucket

I'm purely screwed. Now that you know every time when I blog hor, my captions are not exactly related to the photos. A lot of people actually told me this before, but.. IT'S REALLY HARD TO TALK ABOUT EVERY SINGLE PHOTO LOR IT'S LIKE SO DAMN BORING TO EXPLAIN oh we did that oh we did those, so I'M JUST BEING CREATIVE, not that it's unrelated or whatever. Me just trying to make things interesting. Me is good. and me ish creative XD

just that i failed many many times

I know again, the above have nothing to do with YAKI YAKI, but I just like to include random stuffs in a post, you blow meh?

So anyway, the place is actually very nice, supposingly comfortable, but I think they should have at least reduce the temperature.

Photobucket

Seriously lah, you have like 50 bbq stoves, and your air condition is not strong enough to chill the entire place, and plus this is SUPPOSEDLY a decent (stressing it because the price is quite high) Japanese BBQ Buffet restaurant (probably due to all the expectations of similar competitors; Jogoya, Shogun etc) but still, having enough temperature to keep the dining surrounding cool is crucial in such restaurants.

The only place I find their air-cond cool enough is the toilet actually.

Er wait, just to keep things clear, just before you continue to think that I AM A PERSON WHO COMPLAINS ALL THE TIME ABOUT HOW HOT IS THIS THERE EVERYWHERE, it has just occurred to me that the weather is hot nowadays, Malaysia is a hot country, and I'm person who hates to be placed in a hot place. So yeah, I like to eat and NOT SWEATING when i eat. Just like studying, you won't wanna eat and sweat like a cow right?

Photobucket

So instead, we started grabbing foods all over the place the moment we set foot on our table. Placing orders of basically everything we could find from the menu. From salmons to scallops to beef to lamb, all the things we deem "expensive" are just being ordered unstoppably.

Photobucket

Again, you will find all these vain pictures not containing wei yi in it coz she's like dam resistant towards a camera and she insisted and gave us the I WILL NOT TAKE PHOTOS I WON'T DON'T FORCE ME OR YOU'LL DIE kind of look. Exaggerating, and jokingly speaking of course.

Photobucket

Complain number 2. The burning stove. Ok, I knew it has been called a BBQ buffet for a reason, but I don't know almost everything has to be BBQ-ed on your own. Seriously I think I have no talent to BBQ food, I thought the chefs would be offering us the hand to do it in their kitchen and serving it when it's hot.

It's like everything (the nice ones especially) is served raw and has to be BBQd on your own. Even if was marinated to perfection, nice food also become not nice already la, let us play on the stove like kids playing masak masak wan lor seriously. We have a reference of how long to burn it but, since when people like us learn to follow directions.

We ended up following our "FEEL" to see if the food is done burning and cooked, ready to be eaten by us of course. Still, I have to give credits, we still managed to do a cook job BBQing ^^ none of our food got burnt to ashes, luckily.

Photobucket

We ate from 2.30 until about 5, their session ends at 5.30 before dinner session begins, chatting and laughing, and burning the food while eating. It's very fun to eat non-stop with a group of people actually :D

Photobucket

So the above and below are actually random scenes taken in the restaurant. Above is the liquor corner, below is the umm, frozen food corner. See the dry ice coming out?

Photobucket

Overall, I rate the food 6/10. 7/10 for the environment, I actually anticipated more from a Japanese Buffet restaurant like this, I admit I was a bit disappointing actually, despite hearing all the bad reviews about this restaurant.

And then again, our vain pictures, lots of them, so much I actually have to pick and select and combine them into checkers. So that it doesn't give you too much of an eye sore.

Photobucket

And ultimately, there's this hardcore part...

Behold..

Of the infamous 1,2,3,4,5 pose I donno the very uber lala, siham, ah beng ah lian 12345 pose.

Make sure you don't get freaked out k.

Photobucket

It's just that 1 and 4 were missing. Have a good time studying fellow comrades.
